If there is one actress who graduated with phenomenal speed with her acting skills, that would be none other than Nayanthara in South. The lady who started off her career with doing ultra glamorous roles, has transformed herself to be one of the best performing actresses in the industry today, not to forget one among the most promising ones.
Nayanthara made heads turn with her exceptional role as ‘Sita’ in the film Sri Rama Rajyam. The role that was so pious in terms of depth demanded extreme dedication and Nayan delivered, irrespective of disapproval from critics and viewers everywhere. After walking away with Best Actress Filmfare and Nandi Awards, Nayanthara is now the center of prime focus in the top league of leading ladies.
Her next film with Sekhar Kammula, Anamika is now close to completion with production and all eyes are set directly on Nayan’s abilities that have peaked to the next level. The film which is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster, Kahaani, will see Nayan playing a powerful central protagonist that was originally portrayed byVidya Balan. Balan, incidentally walked away with laurels for the role in Hindi.
After hits like Sri Rama Rajyam in Telugu and Raja Rani in Tamil, Nayan will be all set to be seen in a strong role once again. While Kahaani saw Vidya perform to the hilt, the expectations are definitely sky high on Nayanthara. Whether this turns out to be a life changing film for Nayan or not, we can’t wait to see her as Anamika.
Anamika stars Nayanthara, Pasupathy, Vaibhav and Harshvardhan Rane in prominent roles and is slated for a December release.
