WHY DID LAKSHMI RAI CHANGE HER NAME?
Don't be surprised if you see Rai Lakshmi instead of Lakshmi Rai in the heroine's next movie's credit roll.
The actress has decided to shuffle her name a little bit, she decided to change it from Lakshmi Rai to Rai Lakshmi.
In an interview, the actress confirmed and said that though her family has named her after a goddess, her friends and family members have always refereed to her as Rai.
Incidentally, her father insisted that she should change her name and that all her films would have her name as Rai Lakshmi.

Ravi Teja’s ‘Balupu’ has completed its 50 day run today. Ravi Teja delivered a much needed hit after quite a long time and his fans are happy with the film. Gopichand Malineni is the director of the movie and PVP Cinema banner produced the film.
Shruti Haasan and Anjali were seen as the heroines in the film. Shruti Haasan’s glamour and Brahmanandam’s comedy turned out to be big assets and Thaman scored some entertaining tracks for this film.
Prakash Raj, Nasser, Ali. Raghu Babu and Ashutosh Rana essayed crucial roles in the movie. Lakshmi Rai made a special appearance for an item song.

Money doesn’t excite me- Lakshmi Rai
The hot an happening Lakshmi Rai, who sizzled in the recent hit Balupu is not keen to take up any item song that comes her way. Revealing her intentions about such songs Lakshmi said “Money is not the criteria for me. I am very selective about my work and if I do good roles money will come by itself. I have refused similar item song offers as they were getting repetitive and only did Balupu because I was playing myself in the film”. Lakshmi Rai is a prominent face in Tamil cinema and has some interesting films lined up this year.
