Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Lingaa' got released on December 12, 2014. In spite of getting average to below average reviews, 'Lingaa' has performed exceptionally well at the box-office. Trade reports suggest that Rajinikanth has created many records across South India, UK and in many other countries. However, Rajini is not able to surpass a record created by Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu. Yes, ‘Aagadu’ collected 1.4 million dollars across USA in its first weekend. Whereas, ‘Lingaa’ ended up with 1.3 million dollars, which included both Telugu & Tamil version. ‘Lingaa’ had mind-blowing openings in Tamil Nadu, UK, Malaysia and other countries, but Mahesh Babu’s ‘Aagadu’ still holds the record of highest first weekend collections in USA for South Indian films. - See more at:
