Trade reports suggest that Rajinikanth has created many records across South India, UK and in many other countries. However, Rajini is not able to surpass a record created by Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu. Yes, ‘Aagadu’ collected 1.4 million dollars across USA in its first weekend. Shruti Haasan's special song in 'Aagadu' begins today

Shruti Haasan will be shaking a leg with Super Star Mahesh Babu for a special song in 'Aagadu' and the shoot of the song begins today at Ramoji Film City (RFC).

It is said to be a very energetic number and the team are confident that Shruti Haasan and Mahesh will set the screens on fire with it.

Tamannaah plays Mahesh Babu's love interest in this film and Sreenu Vaitla is the director. This movie is being produced by Gopichand Achanta, Anil Sunkara and Ram Achanta on 14 Reels Entertainment banner. This banner has earlier produced the films 'Dookudu' and '1 Nenokkadine' with Mahesh.

Brahmanandam, Sonu Sood etc form the ensemble cast in the film.

The much awaiting and lots of expectations movie – ‘Aagadu’ has released its first look teaser today. The movie under the direction of Srinu Vytla, imposed Mahesh as a power cop and now this teaser has gone viral on internet and making sensation. Mahesh Babu starrer Aagadu goes on floors

The principal shooting of Mahesh Babu, Tamannaah starrer Aagadu began today. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, the film is being produced by Anil Sunkara, Gopichand and Ram Achanta under 14 Reels Entertainment banner. Sreenu Vaitla and Mahesh Babu had earlier teamed up for Dookudu which went on to become a smash hit back in 2011.

Mahesh Babu will once again be seen in a police officer’s role in this film and it’s said to be an out-and-out mass character. Similarly, Tamannaah, who has so far been playing uber glamorous or girl-next-door roles, will be seen in a mass character. Few months ago, Sreenu Vaitla had revealed that he has not followed the pattern which was blatant in his recent films like Dookudu and Baadshah. Although he hasn’t disclosed too many details about what he meant by that, sources close to the film unit suggest that Sreenu Vaitla is moving away from confusion themed action comedy, which he started with Dhee and took it to a whole new level with Ready and Dookudu.

Thaman is scoring the music for this film and KV Guhan is the cinematographer. The film is expected to hit the screens in summer 2014.

After enticing Telugu audiences as Krishna Manohar in Pokiri, Superstar thrilled them to the core in Dookudu as Ajay. Here is the star hero coming again, and this time it is Aagadu that is going to see him in an encounter specialist role.

Of course, even in his last outing as a police officer, Superstar Mahesh played the role of a serious cop with loads of guts and lots of ammunition. This time too he is playing the role of a police officer only in 'Aagadu', except for a change in backdrop. Earlier in Dookudu, Mahesh's Ajay character hails from Hyderabad and he speaks Hyderabadi lingo whenever he delivers tat-phatak one liners to villains. Here in Aagadu, sources revealed that Mahesh will be seen speaking in Rayalaseema lingo Telugu throughout the movie. Earlier hero Nagarjuna used Rayalaseema style dialogue delivery in Ragada and it is Mahesh now to do the feat. Looks like, director Sreenu Vytla is having an equal eye for all the three regions in the state and hence the move.
On the other hand, Aagadu shooting hasn't took off from November 14th as expected as the latest schedule of Mahesh-Sukumar's 'One' is yet to finish. They say that Aagadu regular shoot might commence from November 28th and will go on until the whole shooting wraps up.
